Before Fairfield: Taddeo spent five years on the
varsity field hockey squad at Shoreham-Wading
River. Her versatility on the field will add depth to the Stags' offense
and defense. As a captain her senior season, Taddeo earned a spot
on both the 2011 All-State and All-Long Island Teams. She was also
the recipient of the Nancy Cole Award and an All-County selection in
2010. Taddeo thrived in the classroom as a member of the National
Honor Society and earned all-academic team honors for field hockey.
She also lettered in lacrosse and track.
Before Fairfield: Thiroway was a four-year letter-
winner from Central Bucks High School East.
She was team captain in her senior campaign and helped her team
to a conference championship in both 2010 and 2011, as well as a
district championship in 2010. Thiroway was an All-Suburban One
First Team selection in 2011, and a Third Team All-Suburban One in
2010. Her team honored her with Most Valuable Player in her final
season. Thiroway was a member of the Key Club and Student Council.
Before Fairfield: McCauley spent four years on
the varsity field hockey squad at Gwynedd
Mercy Academy. In her senior year, McCauley
served as team captain and was awarded Most Valuable Player. In
2011, she garnered honors including an All-League Team selection
and Second Team Regional All-American. She was also a Junior
Olympics Silver Medalist in 2010, and a National Futures
Championship Bronze Medalist. In 2012, her team was the National
Indoor Tournament Pool Champions. Academically, McCauley was
involved with her school's Peer Advisory League, SADD and Health
Club, Student Think Tank, and Mock Trial.

Before Fairfield: Stefanides had an incredible
career at Wyoming Seminary Prep School. She
was a four year varsity starter and helped her
team to three PIAA State Championships in 2008, 2010, 2011. Each
season, Stefanides ranked in the top-ten for scoring in her conference
and garnered a number of All-State and Conference honors. She was
named to the 2011 PIAA All-State First Team, 2010 All-State Second
Team, was a member of the
Citizen's Voice
All-Star Team both her jun-
ior and senior seasons, and in 2011 was a
Citizen's Voice
Athlete of
the Week as well as a member of the
Time Leader
All-Star Team. She
was also honored with the 2012 Varsity Gold Award. Stefanides
played for the KaPow Indoor Club team and helped them finish as
2012 Champions at the National Indoor Tournament. She also played
for the Future's Elite team for two years and was a member of the
2010 Westchester team which finished with a silver medal at the
National Future's Championship. Stefanides also had an impressive
impact off the field in both the classroom and the community. She
was a member of over five different clubs, the Student Government,
the Medical Club, and Wyoming Seminary Media Club. She made the
dean's list all four years and in 2012 organized a fundraiser for Make
a Wish.

stands for Philadelphia’s 2008 World Series victory.
2011: Van der Plas has a great deal of interna-
tional experience, including time with both high
school and club teams. She was a member of the Barlaeus
Gymnasium field hockey team and was captain during her final cam-
paign. Van der Plas helped her team to a first place finish in their con-
ference, the IOC District. For three years, van der Plas played on a dis-
trict team followed by one year on the Reserve National U-18 Team.
She has experience at the highest national level, as both a forward
and midfielder. In addition to field hockey, van der Plas also played
Tennis at Barlaeus Gymnasium.
