the floor at Siena, including a pair of three-point field goals …
Returned to the starting line-up for consecutive games versus Rider,
January 30, and at North Carolina State, February 1 … Played 24 min-
utes in the win over Rider, scoring four points and picking up five
rebounds – three on the offensive glass … Had her final seven
rebound at home versus Siena on February 21, scoring seven points
in 22 minutes of action in the game.
Freshman Year (2009-10): Saw action in 21 games over the course of
her first collegiate season, averaging 4.1 minutes per appearance …
Finished the year with 14 points and 15 rebounds … Had the best sta-
tistical game of the season at the Cyclone Classic when she scored
four and corralled six boards in 14 minutes of action against UMKC …
That outing marked the longest of the year for Vetra, who played 10 or
more minutes in three of four games from December 23 through
January 3 … Vetra converted a field goal in each of her first two colle-
giate games, making her first collegiate attempt in the season opener
at Rhode Island. In the November 18 home win over Lafayette she col-
lected her first collegiate rebound and blocked shot, to go along with
her two points … Handed out an assist in each of her next three
appearances, November 25 through December 3, playing a total of 13
minutes … Saw her first double-digit minute appearance at Albany on
December 23, collecting two rebounds and handing out a season-best
two assists … Concluded the year with seven total assists … Shot 33.3
percent from the field on the year, including a 1-1 effort in the WBI
quarterfinal contest at Appalachian State.
Before Fairfield: Averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds a game at
Fort Worth Christian in Texas … Served as a team captain her senior
season … Vetra also played for Kolibri in her native Latvia, where she
averaged 14.8 points and 7.8 caroms a contest.
Personal: Daughter of Argita and Gundars Vetra … Father played pro-
fessionally for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA … Has a
younger sister … Has earned Dean’s List status in each of her six
semesters … Member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Nu
