General: A long, athletic player that has range from beyond the arc and
is a match-up problem for opponents … Has improved her back-to-the-
basket game and has become a formidable presence in the paint.
Career Overview: Has appeared in 59 games in a Fairfield uniform
with 27 starts … Averaging 15.2 minutes (895) an outing … Also aver-
aging 4.8 points (281) and 3.1 rebounds (181) after her first two sea-
sons as a Stag … Has handed out 30 assists, recorded 20 steals and
blocked 23 shots.
Career Honors: MAAC Rookie of the Week (1/31/11).
Sophomore Year (2011-12): Played in all 33 games, starting 26 of
those contests … Averaged 18.7 minutes, 5.6 points, and 3.7
rebounds per game along with 19 blocks …. Started the season open-
er against Stony Brook, finishing with four points and eight rebounds
and followed that up with 14 points and had eight boards against
Pacific … Had an impressive night at Vermont, notching her first colle-
giate double-double, finishing with 12 points (5-for-9 shooting) and a
career-best 11 … Registered her second career double-double with
12
points and 10 rebounds
against Manhattan … Just
missed a double-double against
Niagara, recording 11 points
and nine rebounds … Recorded
a career-high 16 points on 7-for-
12
shooting at Iona … In the
season finale on March 15, she
tallied six points and two boards

opening win over Quinnipiac and corralled her first career rebound
and steal that evening at Alumni Hall … Posted 58 rebounds (2.2 rpg)
on the year, with a season-best seven coming at home versus Rider on
January 30; a game in which she played a career-high 27 minutes …
Had her first double-digit scoring effort in a 12-minute stint against
Cornell where she shot 4-7 from the field for 11 points.
Before Fairfield: Earned four varsity letters at Pomperaug High School
where she was part of 80 victories ... A 1,000 point scorer during her
scholastic career, she averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds a game …
Led the Panthers to the 2007 and 2010 SWC Championship, with a
24-1
record her senior season … Averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds
a game as a senior, resulting in her second SWC MVP award and in
being a nominee for All-America … Over the course of her career, she
was named All-State and All-New Haven County three times apiece,
while also earning All-SWC accolades in four seasons.
Personal: Daughter of Kathy and Joe Cizynski, both of whom attended
Fairfield University … Her father is the only player in Fairfield baseball
history to have thrown a nine-inning no-hitter … Has an older sister …
Uncle, Mark Cizynski, played basketball at Rhode Island while uncle,
Jerry Cizynski, played basketball at Bentley … Major is management.
