General: Alexys Vazquez returns for her third season as one of the
Stags wing players. An offensive threat from nearly anywhere on the
court, she showed her deadly accuracy from behind the arc last sea-
son. The Stags look for Vazquez to continue her evolution as a com-
plete player.
Career Overview: Has appeared in 57 games and played 1,145 min-
utes (20.1/g) in her collegiate career. After setting the single season
record for three-point field goal percentage as a sophomore, Vazquez
has brought her career shooting percentage to 41.3, connecting on 69
of 167 attempts from behind the arc. She has posted 273 points
(4.8/
g) and 115 rebounds (2.0/g) for her career while handing out 52
assists.
Sophomore Season (2011-12): Set the single season record for three-
point field goal percentage (.427) ... Appeared in 32 games with 28
starts, averaging 29.4 minutes, 7.3 points, and 2.8 rebounds per
game ... Also had 46 assists and hit 16 of 17 free throws attempted on
the year ... Tallied eight points and three rebounds in WNIT game
against Drexel ... Had five points in MAAC Championship Semifinal
against Siena ... Tallied six rebounds, four assists and three points in
MAAC Championship Quarterfinal versus Iona ... Remained No. 1
nationally in three-point field goal percentage (.442) on February 27
and March 1 ... Had five points and five boards in regular season finale

games versus Saint Peter’s and Loyola in February ... Had her first
double-digit minute outing (15) of her career at Hofstra on December

Before Fairfield: Earned four varsity letters at Berlin High School ...
