Meet theStags
General: Nikki Stanton is a member of the Stags sen-
ior class and has a year of eligibility remaining after
this season after missing the 2009 campaign rehab-
bing a knee injury suffered while in high school. She was selected to serve as
a team captain for the 2012 campaign. Over her two seasons as a defensive
minded midfielder, Stanton has appeared in 39 games and started all but one
of those contests. She has also played an active role in the Stags offense with
11 career points, which includes seven assists. Stanton spent the 2012 sum-
mer playing with the Seattle Sounders FC, on a roster with several US Olympic
and National Team members.
Off The Field: Stanton is a Psychology major. She lived in the Leadership Living
and Learning Community as a sophomore. Stanton has been a member of the
University’s Dean's List each of the last five semesters, as well as earning a
spot in the Department of Athletics 3.0 Club each of those semesters.
2011:
First Team All-MAAC! MAAC All-Academic Team!
Stanton appeared in
every game that the Stags played, starting all but one of them. She finished
the campaign tied for the team lead with eight points, with her lone goal com-
ing on a PK in the league win over Rider on Senior Day. Stanton assisted on 40
percent of the Stags goals, for a team-high six, which accounted for more than
half of the team's 11 total for the year.
2010:
MAAC All-Academic Team!
Stanton made her collegiate debut at Bryant
on August 22 and was credited with an assist in that contest. She went on to
start all 20 games for the Stags during the year, finishing with three points.
Stanton touched net for the first-time in the Stags season finale against
Harvard, scoring the team's only goal.
2009: Stanton received a medical redshirt after missing the season as she
rehabbed a knee injury suffered prior to enrolling at Fairfield.
High School: Stanton earned four varsity letters at Mount Si as she led the
Wildcats to three state quarterfinal appearances and 46 wins. She finished
her scholastic career with 26 goals and 34 assists. She had 31 of those points
as a senior (12G, 7A) as she led Mount Si to the league title and was received
First-Team All-State accolades. Stanton was named King Count 3A League
Player of the Year as a junior and was a three-time First-Team All-League selec-
tion. She was named the team MVP following both her junior and senior sea-
sons. A team captain as a senior, Stanton was the school's Female Athlete of
the Year, as well as earning All-Star Select Team recognition from the Seattle
Post Intelligencer. Stanton played her club soccer for the Crossfire Premier,
leading the team to five state titles and a Region IV Championship in 2006. An
ODP member since 2005, Stanton played for the SYL National Team in 2006.
Personal: Nicole 'Guti' Leslie Stanton is the daughter of Leslie and Glen
Stanton and has one brother.

General: Alli Walsh returns for her fourth year with the
program, with two years of eligibility remaining after
missing all of 2010 with an ankle injury. She was selected as a team captain
for the 2012 season. In her two seasons, Walsh has appeared in 40 games,
with 25 starts, as a defender.
Off The Field: Walsh is an English major that has been a member of the
University's Dean's List in each of her last four semesters. Additionally, she has
earned a GPA of over 3.0 in every semester at Fairfield. Walsh is a contributing
writer for the Fairfield Mirror, the student newspaper at Fairfield. She has
assisted at the annual Girl Scout Clinic in each of her seasons at Fairfield, and
has participated in Relay for Life.
2011:

Walsh started all 19
games for the Stags in the back. Her presence helped Fairfield to 10 clean
sheets and a GAA of 0.63, which ranked 15th in the country.
2010:
MAAC All-Academic Team!
Alli Walsh missed the entire season after an
ankle injury suffered in preseason camp.
2009: Walsh saw action in all 21 games the Stags played her rookie season,
making six starts. Her first collegiate start came at Harvard on October 6 and
then she started each of the final five games. Walsh fed Kasey Schulz in the
first-half of the win at Iona, for her first collegiate point.
High School: Walsh scored 57 (21G) points in earning four varsity letters at
Staples, where she helped the Wreckers total 32 wins. A team captain as a
senior, she was named First-Team All-FCIAC as she touched net 11 times and
recorded nine assists. Walsh was twice selected Athlete of the Week by the
Westport Minuteman and was the Norwalk Hour Player of the Week. She
earned Second-Team All-FCIAC accolades following her sophomore and junior
campaigns.
Personal: Allison Elizabeth Walsh is the daughter of Mary and Timothy Walsh.
She has a brother and a sister.
