General: Michelle Coate returns for her second season
as a member of the Stags midfield. She has four col-
legiate appearances on her resume.
Off The Field: Coate is undecided on her major. She earned a spot in the
Department of Athletics 3.0 Club in each of her first two semesters on campus.
2011: Coate appeared in four games, all as a reserve, during her rookie cam-
paign. She made her collegiate debut against Boston College and then played
in wins over Holy Cross and MAAC foes Saint Peter's and Rider.
High School: Coate earned four varsity letters at Pembroke High School, scor-
ing 41 times and adding 45 assists over the course of that time. She led the
team to Patriot League Championships in 2007, '09 and '10, earning All-Star
accolades as a senior. A team captain her final season, Coate compiled 38
points, with 13 goals, as she earned team MVP honors. She was also named
to the Massachusetts All-Star Soccer Team and earned First-Team Eastern
Mass First-Team All-Star accolades as a senior. Coate also lettered in indoor
track, winning the Division 3 State Title in the high jump and 4x400 relay. She
helped her club team, Scorpions Soccer Club, to a 2009 State title and the
2011 Region I Premiere League Championship. Coate also played for the Mass
State ODP team from 2006-09 playing in tournaments in Madrid, Spain and
Dublin, Ireland.
Personal: Michelle Grace Coate is the daughter of Sheryl and David Coate. She
has an older sister, Allison, and brother, Brian.

General: Kelly Bohling returns for her second season
as a member of the Stags roster, and when healthy, will
add depth to the Stags defense.
Off the Field: Bohling is a Political Science major.
2011: Bohling did not appear in any games during the 2011 season as she bat-
tled injury.
High School: Bohling earned four varsity letters on defense at Staples High
School. She was named Second Team All-FCIAC her final two seasons, as well
as being named All-Area by the Norwalk Hour those seasons. Bohling was a
team captain her senior season and also lettered in track and field.
General: Kelly Bohling is the daughter of Sally and Brad Bohling. She has three
older siblings, Ryan, Ashlyn and Connor.

General: Stephanie Sutherby is back for a third cam-
paign with the Stags, and has evolved into an everyday
defender. She has made 22 appearances in a Fairfield uniform, with seven
starts and an assist on her resume.
Off the Field: Sutherby is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Fairfield. She
was named to the University’s Dean's List and was a member of the
Department of Athletics 3.0 Club in both semesters of her freshman year.
2011:
MAAC All-Academic Team!
Sutherby played in every game for the Stags
in 2012 and started seven times; including the last four games of the year. She
recorded her first collegiate point with an assist at home versus Stony Brook.
Sutherby received her first starting assignment at Harvard and then started six
of the final seven games the team played.
2010: Sutherby appeared in three games as a rookie. She made her collegiate
debut in the MAAC win over Saint Peter's on October 10. She also played in the
overtime contest at Siena and took her first shot in the season finale versus
Harvard.
High School: Sutherby earned four varsity letters at Ipswich High School, serv-
ing as team captain her senior year. A three-time Cape Ann League All-Star, she
was also named a Salem Evening News All-Star, First-Team Eastern-Mass All-
Star and her team MVP both junior and senior years. Sutherby also lettered in
basketball four times, three times in track and field and once in softball.
Personal: Stephanie Marie Sutherby is the daughter of Catherine and Edward
Sutherby and has two sisters.
